Two herdsmen have been arrested by the police in Ogun for allegedly killing and kidnapping another of their kinsman, Taye Amodu. The duo of Hassan Amodu and Abubakar Abdullah kidnapped the late Amodu on October 23, 2017 at Obada Oko area of Abeokuta and also made away with eight cows belonging to the victim.
The state Police Command spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement said upon receiving the report, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu, directed that those behind the dastardly act be brought to book in the shortest possible time.
The case was taken over by the officer in charge of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) and "in compliance with the CP's directive, the FSARS operatives swung into action and at about 5:30pm of the same day, the hideout of the culprit was located in Imeko area through technical intelligence.
