Tragedy on Monday struck at Umuoleghi Amuzukwu Ibeku in Umuahia, Abia state as a middle aged unperturbed mother tied her son with a rope, bathed him with kerosene and later set him on fire for allegedly taking custody of her memory card.
The boy whose identity could not be ascertained as at the time of this report was rescued by passersby after being badly injured as a result of the the impact of the burn.
Abia Breaking News reports that he was rushed to Police clinic in Bende road Umuahia where he was referred to FMC Umuahia, Abia state.
